Webinar: Financial Statements for a Business and Personal - Mayagüez Chapter

This course is a guide to nailing down and retaining the facts about the preparation of personal financial statements and the most important aspects of preparing the financial statements of a business. Procedures that the CPA performs for his/her clients are also discussed. We also emphasize the importance of adequate disclosures and the need for the CPA to keep up to date with changes in accounting principles, auditing standards and standards to perform accounting and review services.  

Users of personal and business financial statements rely on them in determining whether to grant credit, in assessing the financial activities of individuals and businesses, and for similar purposes.  

Objetives: Upon successful completion of this course, the user should be able to: 

• Explain GAAP for both personal and business financial statements. 
• Explain valuing assets and liabilities. 
• Describe personal and business financial statements.  
• Summarize disclosures. 
• Prepare and compile financial statements.
