Professional guidance for compilations, review, and preparation of financial statements under applicable standards. Overview of differences between compilations, reviews, and preparation of financial statements. Activities and procedures required to perform compilations and reviews of financial statements. Professional standards and risk factors to be considered when planning compilations and reviews. Obligations and responsibilities under the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. Required procedures and work paper preparation. Discussion of new Materiality Requirements. Examples of reports, including new review reports, engagement, and representation letter.
Objectives: At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the requirements to perform compilation, reviews, and preparation of financial statements under Professional Standards.
- Learn the Accountants’ responsibilities, ethic rules, independent requirements, and materiality concepts.
- Become familiar with documentation requirements.
- Report under various scenarios, letters, and other communications.

Materials: This course will be paperless and the materials will be distributed electronically. Download them through "Mi Perfil", on the Colegio's website, where will be available for seven days after the event. Electronic devices may be brought to the classroom to access the downloaded materials.
