Government Contracting Business Development Program is designed to help small businesses understand the government contracting process and the steps to participate in the selling to the Federal Government. The program is divided into three (3) main areas: Government Certifications, HUBZone, and Marketing - How to sell to the Federal Government?

HUBZone Program plays an important role in driving federal procurement opportunities to small businesses in undercapitalized communities. This program fuels the growth of small businesses in (HUBZones) by providing preferential access to federal contracts.
Objectives: Learn about the requirements and procedures to become certified under SBA's HUBZone program. The goal is to help small businesses understand SBA’s HUBZone program, designed to assist small firms – in certain urban, rural, Base Realignment and Closure, and difficult development areas outside the U.S. mainland – gain access to federal procurement opportunities. These steps assist in determining if you meet the eligibility requirements and provides demonstrates the application process. The participant also will learn, the excellent opportunities under this program to participate in the Federal marketplace. Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
1. Understand prime contracting and subcontracting assistance programs and how they can be used to take advantage of federal contract opportunities.
2. Understand SBA’s HUBZone certification programs.
3. Know about the program benefits and eligibility requirements.
4. Understand the registration and application process including the required documentation.
