Professional guidance for compilations, review, and preparation of financial statements under recent SSARS. Overview of differences between compilations, reviews, and preparation of financial statements. Activities and procedures required to perform compilations and reviews of financial statements. Professional standards and risk factors to be considered when planning compilations and reviews. Obligations and responsibilities under the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. Required procedures and work paper preparation. Examples of reports, both in English and Spanish.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
1. Understand the requirements to perform compilation, reviews, and preparation of financial statements under Professional Standards.
2. Learn the Accountants’ responsibilities, ethic rules, independent requirements.
3. Become familiar with documentation requirements.
4. Report under various scenarios.
