Webinar: Practice Management: Quality and Review

This course provides an overview of the fundamental principles of quality management standards and the risk-based approach that requires firms to tailor the design, implementation, and operation of their system of quality management. It also covers the peer review process in public accounting and provides guidance on developing a quality management system that helps firms prepare for a peer review.

Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

• Understand the fundamental concepts and requirements of the quality management standards applicable to public accounting firms.
• Explain the risk-based approach to quality management and its impact on the design, implementation, and operation of a firm's system of quality management.
• Identify the components of an effective system of quality management and the responsibilities of firm leadership in maintaining quality.
• Explain the purpose, scope, and procedures of the peer review process for public accounting firms.
• Develop and document policies and procedures that support an effective system of quality management.
• Apply quality management principles to improve engagement performance, compliance, and overall firm quality.
