Summary of the recent issued clarified statements on auditing standards introduced by SAS number 134 to 142, on auditor’s responsibility to form an opinion and reporting requirements, including disclosures in the audit of financial statements, reporting on financial statements of employee benefits plans subject to ERISA, auditors responsibilities relating other information and attributes and factors of information that contribute to an assessment of whether sufficient appropriate audit evidence.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
- Understand the recent amendments introduced by the SAS 134 to 142.
- Identify attributes and factors of information that contribute to an assessment of whether sufficient appropriate audit evidence.
- Describe auditors’ responsibility to form an opinion and reporting requirements of an audit of financial statements.
- Explain auditors’ responsibilities relating to other information.
