No matter the size of your practice and if it is subject or not to a peer review process, it is important to maintain high quality standards in our practices. The quality controls of our work and firm practice could impact the result of our accounting, auditing, assurance, and tax procedures.
Based on the AICPA QC Standards, the objective of the firm is to establish and maintain a system of quality control to provide it with reasonable assurance that:
a. the firm and its personnel comply with professional standards and applicable legal and regulatory requirements and
b. reports issued by the firm are appropriate in the circumstances.
In this training we will discuss how to prepare the manual and what content should be included. We will provide tools and recommendations to increase the quality of procedures including, environment and leadership responsibilities for quality control within the firm, documentation, compliance with standards and personnel requirements.
Objectives:
At the end of the training, the participants should be able to determine the advantage of having quality controls in their firm and how this controls could help their practices. Prepare a manual of internal controls for their firm and evaluate the results.
